Conclusion
Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases primarily affect old people. The present study encompasses a group of people with ages ranging from 64 to 83 years who suffered due to either Parkinson's or Alzheimer's disease. They had in their pathology muscle rigidity, tremor, slowing of physical movement and nervous degeneration of cells in brains – reflecting the symptoms of the disease. The attack takes away the lives by a regular process of degeneration of body and brain. Behavior of the patients was not normal though they had no mental or serious physical ailments prior to the onset of the illness. No untoward incidents of the disease caused any damage to the family. Round the clock care and services were rendered by family members so as to minimizing distress and tension on the one hand and arresting deterioration of health on the other.
As the disease is global and sporadic, more research is conducted in various parts of the world. It is expected that the ageing population should get a solace sooner or later from the emerging research to fight the disease. In the words of Swami Vivekananda “Success is inevitable for slow, steady and silent work”, all details of the case study are based on survey conducted at different time. A host of medical literature is available; we have considered a few for understanding of the general people.
